The following data categories are prescribed or encouraged by the IMF's Special Data Dissemination Standard. The list is organized by sector (real, fiscal, financial, external, and socio-demographic data).

Note: Some countries, for a given data category, provide metadata for more than one data set in order to meet the SDDS specifications or provide metadata for alternative measures of that category.
