International Reserves

The data published correspond to Reserve Assets. The data are expressed in millions of U.S. dollars

Foreign Currency Liquidity

Data are compiled according to The Operational Guidelines for the Data Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity of the IMF (2001).

Periodicity

4.1.1 Periodicity

Daily for reserve assets; monthly for the template.
Timeliness

4.1.2 Timeliness

Reserve assets: the following business day;

Foreign currency liquidity template: one month after the end of the reference month.

release calendar

5.1.3 Advance release calendar

An advance release calendar that provides a quarter-ahead precise release date is published on the Central Bank of Uruguay's Internet website (http://www.bcu.gub.uy).

The Organic Charter of the BCU (Law 16696 of 3/30/95)  authorizes the BCU to compel the provision (for statistical purposes) of the full range of information needed for it to discharge its duties and responsibilities.

The information submitted to the BCU is subject to administrative secrecy requirements and is treated on a strictly confidential basis.

The Organic Charter of the BCU (Law 16696 of 3/30/95) is available on the BCU's webpage (http://www.bcu.gub.uy), the Law is published only in Spanish.

The data are provided to the President of the Central Bank prior to release. No one outside the Central Bank has access to the data before publication.
